Le SIGH.
Sorry this is a bit late but with one thing and another, it's been tough to find a spare few minutes, so...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
I hope you all had wonderful, or at worst bearable Christmases with those who are closest to you.
Myself, I was far far away from most of my nearest and dearest, which was a bit of a tug, but I had a gorgeous Christmas anywy, with the dancing and the singing and the candles and the presents and the wine and the food.
Plus today we saw NARNIA and they actually kind of got it right and didn't change the ending or anything, and are leading beautifully into the series with 'He's not a TAME lion'. And Lucy and Mr. Tumnus were just wonderful and the rest of them were pretty awesome as well, and I cried and gasped and laughed and all that good stuff that you're meant to do when some of the best children's books ever written get made into movies.
And I've had quite a nice few days too, with the Skagen and buried places and stuff. Rock.
Yeah. Well, there are people in this room setting up Playstation, and it's a small room, so it's kind of weird, so I'll stop.
But I LOVE YOU and MERRY CHRISTMAS.
- Katherine

Hi Katherine!
This is Moira...from Sion and St James days.
I found you quite by accident when I finally decided to list my schools on LJ and found you listed for both schools! (was freaked out, then realised who you were)
Sounds like you're having a fantastic time! I have friended your home LJ, I realise you won't be back until Feb 06, but I posted a comment on there anyway for when you get back, if you want to add me :-)
Hope the rest of your trip is wonderful

Yes we had a lovely Christmas but we missed you. Noche Buena was excellent (except I discovered that the Danish beer I was drinking was brewed in New Zealand under licenece from the Danish company......Oh the shame ! Still I double checked the Dutch beer and it is really Dutch so new Years is set) with everybody in a fine mood. Christmas was also nice though a little more subdued. The Wellers dropped by and it was nice to see them. Tom is restarting his science degree next year and Daniel is doing an honours year studying crested terns (at the Nobbies on Phillip Island and the Mud island in the bay). Went down to Venus Bay on Boxing Day and it was wonderful. The pippis were running so Laura and I filled my bather pockets and we had fresh pippies and beer on the front porch. Very yummy. Yesterday was really hot (35) and the beach was great. When I was in the water I remembered Linda and Guus being there and teaching Guus how to body surf. Tell him I caught a wave just for him. Wish them all the best from all of us. I am back at work now (for three days before my four weeks off) but Mum and the girls are still at VB. They are expecting another couple of hot ones so it should be good. Laura hung a couple of her pictures up on the wall in place of the awful one that was a present for our engagement/wedding. Anna borrowed your boogie board and used it to good effect though she was very rusty. Pip managed to voluntarily get in the water up to her chest. Such a brave doggy. They are coming back for New Years Eve and we have been invited to the Stirling's which Mum is considering attending. Enjoy New Years and the rest of your trip. Love ya.

I'm glad to hear Christmas was good, and that the New Year's beer is REALLY Dutch and ot from South Australia or anything. Nice to hear what the boys are doing as well. I can't believe I'm missing pippi hunting!
Have a lovely New Year's - love and miss you all.
