Last few days have been very relaxing.
Danish food is THE BEST FOOD IN THE WHOLE WORLD EVER and there´s lots of it to be had.
Today we went to Skagen (maybe?) which is where the two seas meet up the top of Denmark and you could actually SEE WHERE THE TWO SEAS MEET. As in, they were different colours. It was SO COOL. Yesterday we visited this lighthouse and church thing that are intermittently buried by sand as the dunes shift, and also a church complete with graveyard, that´s going to fall off the edge of the eroding cliff over the next couple of years.
Last night we had dinner at Karin and Sar´s place. Mmmmmm. So good.
And today we had lunch at this little cafe where we had those things Tegan was talking about, which are kind of like Snowballs, but eggwhite instead of marshmallow, and with wafer or marzipan at the bottom.
I really think that despite the cool stuff here, I´ll remember Denmark for the food.
I also think I´ve sorted out my enrolment. I had a stupid few days because they turned down my application for overenrolment, but based on something I remember Jodi saying, I asked if I could rescind subjects. Turns out I can rescind Enhancement literature, giving me a spare 12.5 points which I can fill with a lit subject and therefore fulfill the requirements of a double major.
So next year will be like this:
FIRST SEMESTER
Backgrounds to English Literature
First Language Acquisition
Mediaevalism in Contemporary Culture
SECOND SEMESTER
Gothic Fictions
The Victorian ´Supernatural´
Human Risk and Vulnerable Populations
Violence and Gender in Europe, 1400-1900
So liek, Yay!
Love,
Katherine

Glad things have been relaxing and you are enjoying the food. We regress back to your last European diaries, which if you recall consisted alomost exclusively of your daily menus. Some deep psychological examination may be required here to determine why you are obsessed with food. Last day of work pre-Christmas and the trains were very quiet, last minute Christmas shopping I suppose. Yeah the gym stuff is pretty funny. My arms are still sore from the wights (what a wimp). Laura has already been back for a second session (90 minutes....she is a fanatic) and she, Mum and Anna are back today (although it might turn more into a swim as it is going to be 36). I will be back for my second session on Christmas eve. So if we keep this up you will not recognise us at the airport on your return. Then when you get home you won't recognise the family room. Off to Tomas's for Noche Buena and then to Liz's for Christmas the following day (It'll be strange having churros without you, but we'll just have to make do I suppose) and then down to Venus bay for a while. Mum and the girls are planning to spend the whole week leading up to New Year at VB. I have to come back to work on Wednesday (and the gym). I'll be a bachelor for three days....Oh the joy....Oh the quiet....Oh the boredom. Abuelo, Oma and Opa send their love and best wishes for Christmas (it's amazing abuelo never forgets to ask where you are and how you are going.......he's developing some social skills at 76). The rest of us just wish you were here. Enjoy yourself and take care.

I think this Danish food is something that I'm going to have to try myself one day...
Have an awesome Christmas Katherine (and Tegan) - I hope that whatever you're doing there is much merriment and rejoicing, and that you're having heaps of fun :D
Take care! :)
