In fact, I am feeling surprisingly perky for someone who has just abandoned her nearest and dearest and hurtled through the air in a metal tube for just over seven hours. I think given my lack of emotion over the whole thing I might be diagnosably sociopathic. OH WELL.
It was a pretty good trip. Was seated next to Bri, but separate from the rest of the group. Watched two episodes of the Simpsons, listened to Lauryn Hill, Alison Krauss & Union Station and the Killers. Read the issue of Cosmo Tegan bought me.
Yeah.
I'm getting kind of excited now.
Anyway, I should probably sign off because we're meant to be limiting use to 15 minutes.

I don't know about sociopathic, perhaps you're in shock? *G* Delayed reaction and all that stuff *g* When I first went to Melbourne for the festival we drove down, stayed in Albury overnight and finished the drive in the morning. When we got to the place we were staying it was a shitheap, so we moved all our things (in several trips in a tiny car) and went to a hotel. That night, sitting at a table in the Prince Pat, waiting to see Tripod, I suddenly said "oh my god, I'm in Melbourne!" and everyone laughed at me *g* Sometimes, it can take a bit for these things to sink in *giggles*

Yep! Took like three whole days for me to realise I was actually in America, not just watching crazy people driving on the wrong side of the road on my TV.
Driving on the wrong side of the road is another kettle of fish altogether.. you guys going to drive over there?

Hurtling through the air in a metal tube is the easy part. Having a metal tube hurtle through the air at you is when you really get excited. Any good hints on thin metal tubes in Cosmo ?
